Ghostly Hollow: Scene IV (Winter Friends)
As the sun slowly descends I decide to take a short rest underneath a canopy of trees bent over at the waist like elderly people, only without their canes. Out of nowhere a brown cub bear slowly takes it's place at my feet. Startled at first, with reason, I soon grow fonder and more relaxed with my new friend, then just as surprising, a small white fox sets down beside me and Mr. bear.
Quietly we three set and take rest beside one another, looking like we've been friends for years. Breaking the silence, a red robin lands on a near branch and starts to serenade us. What magical and enchanting powers I have been witness to, not knowing what to expect next.

Ghostly Hollow: Scene III (Mysteries Found)
Ghostly Hollow: Scene III (Mysteries Found), originally uploaded by SkeletalMess.
Slowly my eyes turn to a pile of rocks near the stream and follow upward the wooden cross poking itself tilted slightly towards the sky. What mysteries do we have here?
What, or should I say, who lies within the pile of rocks, more importantly, as with the scarecrow earlier, who put them here and why? Seems my snowscaped venture has brought a few mysteries upon me, making me wonder what lies ahead.

Ghostly Hollow: Scene II (The Journey Furthers)
Ghostly Hollow: Scene II (The Journey Furthers), originally uploaded by SkeletalMess.
Ghostly Hollow: Scene II (The Journey Furthers)Amidst the snow covered woods, I feel like a miniscule red particle navigating my way deeper into the woods. As I approach a thicket of fallen trees, a solitary figure comes into view. Cautiously I approach, noticing the figure never moves. Upon nearing, I can see it's a scarecrow. What in the world is a scarecrow doing in such a place? There's no sign of crops from previous seasons. More importantly, who put it here, and why?
Ghostly Hollow: Scene I (The Journey Begins)
Ghostly Hollow: Scene I (The Journey Begins), originally uploaded by SkeletalMess.
Ghostly Hollows: Scene I ( The Journey Begins)The gift of winter has come upon Ghostly Hollow, early. Falling like a blanket of white, gloriously draped across the vast countryside that awaits outside, casting aside the time worn traditional clock of the winter solstice.
The longer I set and view winters beauty, the more I feel compelled to venture outside and hopefully discover some enchanting inhabitants along the way. Cloaked warmly in red, I take leave and find myself engulfed in a world of white while heading towards the woods.
Taken from a set I've created and have posted on Flickr, a continuation shall follow.
The story behind the story is, I was recently rummaging through some old winter shots I've taken over the years and thought about how I could use them, and so the story came to mind, proof that "you can teach an old dog new tricks."

Background and how to apply
I'm embarrassed to say this, but it's been some time since I posted a background of my own.
Can someone give me instructions as to what to add to the advanced CSS box to apply a background of my own.

Yet another Blogger Malfunction (solved) for now....
Seems lately every time I turn around Blogger is playing havoc with my blog. The last few weeks the problem was with my comments posted not showing up, now today it seems I log in but my nav bar still says log in. It seems I can post and add images but I have no pencil visible for editing a post, and I have to go through the woods, jump over a bush then paddle 10 miles to get to a possible way to edit my post.
This is really starting to become a rather pain in the butt. Hopefully Blogger/Google gets this fixed before I start thinking seriously about WordPress .......................aaarrrrrrgggghhhhhhhh!
Anyone else experiencing difficulties with their blog, please don't say it's just me, I don't think my heart could take it bout now! LOL!
Here's a good one, I just now had to sign in " which I already was" to have a way to sign out through editing a post. I shall have a cry now!

Let It Snow ...
Being one who loves winter and all she brings, I find I enjoy composing winter scenes. Although I'm in no hurry for snow just yet, can't pass up the explosion of falls colors.

Blogger Recent Comment Errors
Just thought I would ask, is anyone else having "Recent Comments" errors. This has been going on intermittently for the past week, " An error occurred fetching the feed data."
Curious as to …………….
Curious, as to which textures you prefer or use the most.
I make textures for two reasons, one is to use mostly as a color filter
with a hint of texture like the one shown on the bottom on the left.
The other is to add a strong presence of texture, like the one shown on
the bottom at right.
Which do you use most, personally I tend to use them as a colored filter more often.
How about you!
